MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's baseball team dropped a pair of games at Bryant on Saturday. The Bulldogs topped the Mountaineers 9-2 in the first game of the doubleheader and 9-3 in the second game.

Six run inning powers Bryant past Mount St. Mary's 9-2 in the first game of the doubleheader. Vaughn Parker II recorded a multi-hit game going 2 for 4 with two doubles and a run scored. The Mount's only two runs of the game were plated from a sacrifice fly by Patrick Causa and a single from Andrew MaloneMichael Yetter pitched 1.1 innings in relief while giving up no runs on just one hit and striking out one batter for the Mountaineers.

Late rally lifts Bryant past Mount St. Mary's 9-3 in the second game of the doubleheader. Myles Nicholson, Alex Kriss, and Causa all recorded two hits in the loss for the Mountaineers while tabbing six of the seven hits for the Mount in the top three spots of the lineup. Causa went 2 for 4 with two singles and the only RBI for Mount St. Mary's. The Mount falls to 6-14 on the season with a mark of 2-3 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play and Bryant moves to 11-13 on the year with a 3-3 mark in NEC play.

ABOUT COPPIN STATE
Coppin State's game against Georgetown scheduled for Tuesday, April 3 was cancelled due to rain. In CSU's last game, Coppin State swept a MEAC doubleheader at Norfolk State on Sunday afternoon and now stand in sole possession of first place in the Northern Division with a 7-2 conference record.  The Eagles blanked the Spartans, 10-0 in the opener before taking the nightcap, 7-5, in 12 innings. Andres Santana had a career day at the plate in game one, going 5-for-6 with two runs scored and an RBI but he wasn't the only Eagles player with a great game offensively.  Allen Saar went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs scored while also drawing three walks.  Derek Lohr also pitched in with three hits and drove in three runs while Nazier McIlwain also had a multi-hit effort.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Mount St. Mary's and Coppin State have met 32 times in series history with the Mountaineers holding a 25-6-1 advantage, including a 9-3 mark at Coppin State. The Mount won the rain-shortened meeting earlier this year, 4-1. McGough pitched a complete game for the Mountaineers only giving up one earned run while striking out four batters. Savastio went 2 for 3 with two singles on the day. Kriss also went 2 for 3 with two doubles and a run batted in.
