The Mount edged Georgetown 4-3 in a late inning thriller on Saturday afternoon to finish up the Florida trip. Starting pitcher, Michael Collins, pitched 5.2 innings, allowed just four hits, gave up one earned run, and struck out two batters on the day. Jordan Geber picked up the first save of his career while pitching 2.1 innings, giving up no runs on one hit, and striking out three. Myles Nicholson went 1 for 2 with a single, two stolen bases, and two runs scored and Pat Daly went 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored, and three RBI's to lead the Mount. Jared Urban made a game saving diving catch in the bottom of the ninth to secure the win for the Mountaineers. The Mount jumps to 3-5 in the early season and Georgetown falls to 0-8.

ABOUT HOFSTRA
Vinnie Costello and Vito Friscia homered in a three-run sixth inning to give Hofstra a 7-6 lead in a come-from-behind 8-6 victory Sunday to complete a three-game sweep of Norfolk State. Friscia's two-run blast proved to be the game-winning hit. The Pride, which has won five consecutive games, is now 5-2 on the season. Norfolk State slipped to 0-9 in 2018.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH UMBC
The Retrievers own a 38-12 advantage in the all-time series with the Mountaineers, including a 26-3 record on UMBC's home field. Last season, the Retrievers swept the two game series in Baltimore on May 2, winning the first game 19-7, and the second game 14-1. UMBC has won nine out of the last ten meetings between the teams and seven of those wins have come at home for the Retrievers.
