MOUNT UPDATE
Starter Chad Diehl yielded no earned runs in five innings of work for Mount St. Mary's, but a five-run sixth inning from UMES propelled the Hawks to a 9-2 victory over the Mount on Wednesday. The Mountaineers scored their pair of runs in the top of the seventh as Tyler Post, who led off the frame with a walk, scored on a throwing error by the shortstop, and Patrick Causa touched the plate on a sac fly by Vaughn Parker II.

Causa, Ryan Owens and Tommy Quealy collected the hits for the Mount in the contest. The double by Owens in the top of the sixth inning extended his hit-streak to eight straight games.
