MOUNT UPDATE
The Mountaineers came back from a five-run deficit, scoring three times in the seventh and twice in the eighth, but fell to Towson, 8-7, on a walk-off home run by John Drexel in the bottom of the ninth on Wednesday. Freshman Dennis Stewart went 2-for-3 with his first career homer and Michael Flyte also added a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 in the contest. Stewart and Alex Kriss each registered a pair of RBI, while Tommy Quealy, Zach Call and Chris Wessels knocked in a run apiece. Lefty Chad Diehl got the start for the Mount and struck out six in four innings of work.

ABOUT UMBC
The Retrievers enter Saturday's matchup on a six-game winning streak and sit at 11-10 overall on the year. Kevin Lachance leads the squad with a .435 batting average, 37 hits and four home runs, while Anthony Gatto (.391 average) and Jamie Switalski (team-leading 22 RBI) are two of the team's other top offensive threats. Conrad Wozniak, who will start game two of the series, leads the rotation with a 4.28 ERA in five starts.
ALL-TIME SERIES
The Retrievers own a 34-11 advantage in the all-time series with the Mountaineers in their time in division I, including a 22-3 mark on their home field. The two teams played a pair of games last season as UMBC came away with a 4-3 victory in extra innings in the opening game before registering a 20-5 win in the finale.
