MOUNT UPDATE
The Mountaineers dropped a four-game series to NEC foe Wagner over the weekend despite a strong outing from senior Connor Graber in the final game on Saturday. Graber allowed just five baserunners in eight innings of work while striking out five in the team's longest outing by a pitcher this season. Freshman second baseman Alex Kriss and senior outfielder Ryan Owens led the Mount's offense in the series, combining for a 10-for-29 line in the four games. Kriss went 5-for-16 with a triple, home run and five RBI, as he and fellow rookie Patrick Causa each hit their first career homers in the first game of the doubleheader on Friday. Owens went 5-for-13 in the series, with four of those hits going for doubles, and scored three runs as the catalyst atop the lineup.
