MOUNT UPDATE
The Mountaineers put up their highest run total of the season in Wednesday's game against Coppin St., but fell to the Eagles by a 12-9 final at Straw Family Stadium. Rookie Pat Daly led the offensive charge, going 3-for-5 with a home run, double, and a team-high three RBI, while Ryan Owens and Alex Kriss each added two hits apiece and combined for three RBI in the contest. Starter Connor Graber went two innings on the mound, striking out a pair and allowing two earned runs on three hits.

• Daly's homer to left field in the top of the first against Coppin St. was the first of his collegiate career.
• All seven Mountaineers who reached base on Wednesday scored at least one run.

The Knights, coming off an NEC Tournament appearance in 2015, sit at 6-7 overall this season. FDU has won four of its last five contests after sweeping Lehigh in a four-game series last weekend. The Knights are averaging 4.5 runs per game, led by top offensive threats John Giakas (.325 BA, 4 HR, 11 RBI) and Bobby Romano (.276 BA, 2 HR, 6 RBI). Logan Frati is the team's top starter this season, posting a 1.17 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 15.1 innings.
