NOTES...
* The Mount closed out its non-conference slate with a 10-2 loss to Towson on Monday afternoon. The Mountaineers used nine different pitchers in the game.
* Mount St. Mary's will clinch a spot in the Northeast Conference Tournament with two wins against Fairleigh Dickinson. The Mount has not qualified for the NEC Tournament since winning the title in 2008. All-time, the Mount has appeared in the NEC Tournament three times (1998, 2007, 2008) since joining the NEC in 1990.
* Fairleigh Dickinson enters the weekend series 17-23 overall and 8-12 in the Northeast Conference. The Knights were swept in a four-game series at Bryant last weekend. Dylan Sprague (.313), Matt McCann (.307) and Riley Moonan (.306) are all hitting over .300 while Joel Roman leads the team with five home runs and 26 RBIs. On the mound, Joe Flack (2-2, 3.30 ERA) is the top starter while reliever Eric Snyder (4-2, 3.86 ERA, 9 SV) is one of the top closers in the NEC.
* Andrew Clow is among the top catchers in the nation in caught stealing percentage. Clow is 14th in the country having thrown out 42.6 percent of base stealers (20-of-47).
* Leadoff hitter Ryan Owens has reached base in each of the past 10 games for the Mountaineers. Owens is hitting .457 (16-of-35) over that span with a .548 on-base percentage and a .543 slugging percentage. He has raised his average to .307 while he leads the team with 20 walks.
* Brian Parreira has a seven-game hit streak while he has reached base in 10 consecutive contests...Andrew Clow leads the Mount with 18 multiple-hit games...Jordan Lawson has appeared in 12 of the Mount's 20 NEC games, going 5-2 with a 3.91 ERA and three saves in 25.1 innings of work.
* Andrew Clow (.469), Kory Britton (.456) and Ryan Owens (.422) each have an on-base percentage over .400 in NEC games.
* The Mountaineers have swept Saturday doubleheaders in each of their past two NEC series. The Mount downed Sacred Heart in two games on April 25 and followed with a twinbill sweep of Wagner on May 2. The Mount is 6-8 in seven-inning games this season.
* Kory Britton is fourth all-time at the Mount with a .344 career average while Andrew Clow is 11th with a .326 career average...Clow is ninth all-time with 170 career hits, and needs three to move into seventh place...Jay Knight is the all-time leader at the Mount with 47 career stolen bases...Chris Campbell is third all-time with a career 3.86 ERA and he is fourth all-time in opponents batting average (.270).
* Jordan Lawson has been busy out of the Mount bullpen this year, appearing in 20 of the team's 39 games. Lawson is 5-3 with a 3.89 ERA and three saves in 41.2 innings pitched. He leads the team with 45 strikeouts.
* Chad Diehl earned Northeast Conference Pitcher of the Week honors on April 13, one week after teammate Jordan Lawson collected the honor. This is the first time the Mount has had two different NEC Pitchers of the Week in the same season since Kent Worthington and Mike Matta in 2010.
* Andrew Clow and Kory Britton are in the hunt for the Northeast Conference batting title. Wagner's Nick Dini leads the circuit with a .388 average, followed by Clow (.368) and Britton (.360). Last year, Clow finished second in the NEC batting race with a .3688 average, just .0005 behind LIU's Bobby Webb, who won the batting crown with a .3693 average. In 2013, Tom Healy hit .380 to win the Mount's lone batting title since the school joined the NEC in 1989-90.
* Chris Campbell is 3-1 with a 2.35 ERA in 11 appearances (six starts) this season. Campbell's 2.35 ERA would set a new Mount record for pitchers with 30 IP or more in a season. The current mark of 2.37 was set by Mike Matta (30.1 IP) in 2007. Campbell is 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA in five starts in NEC games this year.
* The Mount is 2-10 on the road this year with the team's last road win on April 12 with a 12-2 win at LIU Brooklyn.
