Mount Update:  The Mount opened Northeast Conference play by splitting its four-game series with visiting Central Connecticut.  The Mount earned a 4-3 win in the opening game and posted a 5-1 victory in game three of the series.  Andrew Clow hit .471 for the Mount in five games last week to raise his average to a team-best .384 this season.  Brendan Dabagian had a good week for the Mount, hitting .417 with four runs scored in five games played.  On the mound, reliever Jordan Lawson went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 8.2 innings (4 appearances) last week.  He is now 2-1 with a team-best 2.70 ERA on the year.

George Mason Update:  George Mason lost two of three games at Fordham over the weekend to fall to 11-17 overall and 3-6 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.  Jake Kalish leads the team with a .375 average while Michael Smith is hitting .367.  Kent Blackstone leads the team with six doubles, seven triples, three home runs and 27 RBIs on the year.  On the mound, Kalish is the top starter, going 2-3 with a 3.35 ERA in seven starts.  The Patriots are 5-6 at home this season.

The All-Time Series:  The Mountaineers are 2-8 all-time against George Mason since moving to NCAA Division I in 1989.  The Patriots have won the last three matchups, including a 5-2 win at the Mount on March 6, 2012.  The Mount's last win against George Mason was a 5-4 road victory on March 13, 2007.
