MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mount dropped a pair of close games to Jacksonville on Sunday at the Harford Sports Complex in Bel Air, Md.  In the opening game, Thomas Williams had a quality start, allowing three earned runs (five overall) with six strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work in a 5-2 loss.  Zach Call drove home both runs for the Mount in game one.  In game two, the Mount fell by the score of 5-3.  Chad Diehl allowed five runs (one earned) with four strikeouts in four innings.  Jordan Lawson pitched three innings of scoreless relief.  Tommy Quealy, Ryan Owens and Kory Britton each had two hits for the Mount in the game.  Andrew Clow leads the Mount with a .370 average while Britton is hitting .318 on the year.  On the mound, Diehl is 1-2 with a 1.93 ERA in four starts while Chris Campbell is 1-1 with a 1.80 ERA in five relief appearances.

ABOUT THE RETRIEVERS:  UMBC is 5-9 on the season after dropping two of three games to the Citadel over the weekend.  Nick Naumann leads the team with a .341 average while Andrew Casali is hitting .327.  On the mound, Conrad Wozniak is the top starter, posting a 1.50 ERA in three starts.  The Retrievers have a team ERA of 4.00.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES WITH UMBC:  Mount St. Mary's is 11-32 all-time against UMBC since moving to NCAA Division I in 1989.  The Retrievers have won the past five meetings and 11 of the past 14 matchups.  The last meeting between the two schools came in a two-game home-and-home series in 2013.  The Mount lost both games by a pair of runs, falling 3-1 at home on March 9, 2013, and 5-3 on the road the following day.

ABOUT THE BISON:  Bucknell, who hosts Binghamton on Tuesday before playing the Mount, is 12-7 on the year.  The Bison won three games in a four-game home series with Cornell this past weekend.  Joe Ogren leads the Bucknell offense with a .408 average, four home runs and 19 RBIs this season while Anthony Gingerelli is hitting .346 with 17 runs scored.  On the mound, Xavier Hammond (3-0, 3.09 ERA) and Bryson Hough (3-2, 3.31 ERA) are the top starters.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES WITH BUCKNELL:  The Mount is 5-18 all-time against Bucknell since the move to Division I in 1989.  The Bison have won five in a row in the series, and are 12-2 against the Mount since 1998.  Last year, the Mount fell to Bucknell, 6-1, at Straw Family Stadium on campus.  The Mount's last game at Bucknell was an 11-2 loss on April 26, 2011.
