MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount lost both games of a doubleheader to St. Bonaventure on Sunday to fall to 2-8 on the season. Andrew Clow went 4-for-8 at the plate for the Mountaineers in the twinbill. The Mount fell 5-2 in the opener before losing game two by the score of 6-3. Clow leads the Mount with a .400 average through 10 games while Kory Britton is hitting .343. On the mound, Chad Diehl is 1-1 with a 1.84 ERA while Kevin Myers has a 2.35 ERA in three appearances (one start).
GEORGE WASHINGTON UPDATE: The Colonials enter Wednesday's game with an 8-6 record, including a 7-3 mark at home. George Washington lost two of three over the weekend at Cal State Northridge. Joey Bartosic leads the team with a .357 average and 13 runs scored while Robbie Metz is hitting .351. On the mound, Metz is the top starter, going 1-0 with a 0.47 ERA in three starts. Shane Kemp is 2-1 with a 2.87 ERA in four appearances (two starts).
THE ALL-TIME SERIES: This will be the first meeting between the two teams since a 6-2 Mount home win on March 12, 2009. The Colonials, however, own a 21-2 lead in the all-time series since the Mount moved to Division I in 1989. The Mount's win in 2009 snapped a 20-game losing streak to the Colonials.
CLOW HEATING UP: First Team All-Northeast Conference catcher Andrew Clow is hitting .500 (12-for-24) over the past seven games to move his season average to .400. Clow, who hit a team-best .369 last year, has posted four consecutive mulitiple-hit games. He has two or more hits in six of the Mount's 10 games this season.
