OPENING WHISTLE:  The Mountaineers stretched their unbeaten streak to four games with a 2-1 win over Sacred Heart this past Sunday.  Kristen Morawski's goal in the 85th minute snapped a 1-1 tie and led the Mount to the victory.  Gianna Pomykacz scored her first collegiate goal in the first half to give the Mountaineers a 1-0 advantage.  The Mount opened the weekend with a scoreless tie against Bryant on Friday.  Goalkeeper Rachel Bourne made eight saves, including a pair of fantastic stops in the final 10 minutes of regulation, to preserve the tie.  The Mount's 2-0-2 stretch over the past four games have lifted the team to fifth place in the Northeast Conference standings.  The top four advance to postseason play.

SENIOR DAY:   The Mountaineers will be honoring this year's senior class prior to Sunday's game with Wagner.  This year's seniors include Emma Blair, Rachel Bourne, Vicky Cocozza, Sam Manson, Paige Pohopin, Kelsey Pressler, Nicole Vallely and Brinley Watts.

ABOUT WAGNER:  Wagner is 2-11-1 overall and 1-3-0 in the Northeast Conference heading into their Friday night home game with Saint Francis University.
* The Seahawks are 1-9-1 over their past 11 games with the long win coming against LIU Brooklyn (2-1) on Oct. 9.  Wagner is led by Megan Fritz, who has five goals and two assists for 12 points.  Katie Viscardi has played in goal of late, and she has a 2.20 goals against average and 26 saves in five games.
*  The Mountaineers are 12-10-0 all-time against Wagner, but the Seahawks have captured three of the past four matchups in the series. Last year, Wagner edged the Mount, 1-0, in Staten Island.  The Mount is 6-4-0 all-time at home against Wagner, including a 3-0 win in the last game in Emmitsburg on October 11, 2013.

BOURNE NABS CONSECUTIVE NEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS:  Mount St. Mary's senior goalkeeper Rachel Bourne was named the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week on Monday.
* Bourne posted a 0.45 goals against average while making 14 saves in the Mount's 1-0-1 week.  She made a pair of key stops in the closing minutes of regulation of the Mount's 0-0 tie at Bryant on Friday, including a sprawling save with three minutes left, to keep the game scoreless.  She added six saves in the Mount's 2-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday.
* Bourne had posted three straight shutouts and had not allowed a goal in 413 minutes until Sacred Heart scored in the 51st minute on Sunday.
* Bourne has a 1.91 goals against average and a .791 save percentage while starting nine of 14 games this season.  She has been fantastic in NEC play, going 2-1-2 with a 0.55 goals against average and a .923 save percentage in six games.
* She becomes the first Mount women's soccer player in school history to receive back-to-back NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors.  She is also the first Mount player since Alicia Miller in 2010 to be named NEC Defensive Player of the Week multiple times in the same season.

FRESHMEN SCORING:  The Mountaineers have three of the top eight freshmen scorers in the Northeast Conference this season.
* Nikki Pinto and Jenna West each have eight points this year (3g, 2a) while Kirsten O'Malley has seven points (2g, 3a).

UNBEATEN STREAK:  The Mountaineers are in the midst of a four-game unbeaten streak, the longest in school history.  
* The Mount opened the four-game stretch with a scoreless tie against Central Connecticut.  A 3-0 win over LIU Brooklyn, a scoreless tie at Bryant, and a 2-1 win at Sacred Heart round out the four games.
* The last time the Mount posted three straight shutouts was during the 2009 season.

THE MOUNT AND THE NEC:  This is the Mount's 21st season in the Northeast Conference for women's soccer.  
* Mount St. Mary's will be looking to qualify for its first NEC Tournament spot since 1997.  The Mount qualified for the NEC Tournament from 1995-97, the only three years the school has advanced to the postseason.
* The Mount has a 53-111-16 all-time in NEC regular season games.
* The Mountaineers are 10-10-0 all-time against Wagner in NEC regular season games.  The Mount is 36-46-10 all-time at home in NEC regular season games.
