The Mount St. Mary's women's soccer team returns to action this weekend with a pair of Northeast Conference road games.

OPENING WHISTLE:  Mount St. Mary's capped a successful weekend with a 3-0 win over LIU Brooklyn on Sunday at Waldron Family Stadium on campus.  Jordan Fine scored with 6.9 seconds left in the first half to stake the Mount to a 1-0 advantage.  Kirsten O'Malley scored early in the second half to push the lead to two.  Nikki Pinto's third goal of the season rounded out the scoring.  Rachel Bourne made nine saves to post her second consecutive shutout.  The Mount opened the weekend with a 0-0 draw with visiting Central Connecticut.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Senior goalkeeper Rachel Bourne was named the Northeast Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week last week after posting back-to-back shutouts.  Bourne made six saves in the Mount's scoreless tie with Central Connecticut on Friday, and then followed with nine saves in the Mount's 3-0 blanking of LIU Brooklyn.  Bourne is the first Mount player to earn NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors since Andrea Bujacich on October 8, 2012.

ABOUT BRYANT:  Bryant enters Friday's matchup 4-9-1 overall and 3-1-0 in the Northeast Conference.  Alison Guilmette's overtime goal on Sunday lifted the Bulldogs to a 1-0 win over Robert Morris.  Bryant is tied for second place in the NEC standings with nine points.
* Bryant has had eight different players score this season with Scout Benson leading the team with three points (1g, 1a).  The Bulldogs have scored nine times on the year while allowing 31 goals.  Kaylan Conrad (9GP, 1.94 GAA) and Rachel  Brightman (8GP, 2.47 GAA) have both seen action in goal.
*  The Mount is 4-2-0 all-time against Bryant in the series that began in 2009.  All six matchups have been decided by one goal, and four of those have gone to overtime.  Last year, Alicia Mirando scored with 34 seconds left in the first overtime to lift the Mount to a 2-1 victory.  Mirando scored both of the Mount's goals in the game.

ABOUT SACRED HEART:  Sacred Heart enters the weekend with a 3-10-0 overall record and an 0-4-0 mark in the Northeast Conference.  The Pioneers are coming off a 3-0 loss at Saint Francis U on Sunday.

THE MOUNT AND THE NEC:  This is the Mount's 21st season in the Northeast Conference for women's soccer.
