MOUNT UPDATE: The Mountaineers have dropped their past five games to fall to 13-20 overall and 6-10 in the Northeast Conference. This past weekend, the Mount was swept by NEC leader Bryant in a four-game series at the Mount's E.T. Straw Family Stadium. Andrew Clow continues to pace the Mount offense, leading the NEC with a .407 average with 22 RBI. Kory Britton is hitting .331 with 22 RBI as well. On the mound, Vincent Molesky is the Mount's top starter, going 3-4 with a 4.22 ERA in 42.2 innings of work this season.
ABOUT WAGNER: Wagner was swept in its four-game series at Central Connecticut State last weekend, and is 12-27 overall and 5-7 in the Northeast Conference. Nick Mascelli is hitting a team-best .308 while Shun Flynn (.284, 17 RBI), Chris Smith (.282) and Jason Gordon (.280) are also having solid seasons at the plate. Ryan Casey (2-4, 3.52 ERA) and Matt Morris (2-5, 4.00 ERA) are the top two starters on the squad.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES: The Mount and Wagner have met 76 times since the Mount's move to NCAA Division I in 1989, with Wagner holding a 43-33 edge in the all-time series. The Mount and Wagner have split the past 16 meetings. This will be the second consecutive season the Mount has played Wagner on the road. Last year, Wagner took three of the four games in the series. The Mountaineers are 12-28 all-time on the road against Wagner.
LAST YEAR'S MATCHUP: Wagner won three of the four games in last year's matchup. The Seahawks won the first game, 8-4. The teams split the Saturday twinbill with Wagner winning 8-7 and the Mount capturing game two, 10-4. The Seahawks took the final game of the series, 9-5. Jay Knight hit .571 (8-for-14) with eight runs scored and six steals while Tom Healy went 6-for-15 (.400) with two home runs, four RBI and four steals in the series. CLOW 13th IN THE NATION IN HITTING, : Mount St. Mary's catcher Andrew Clow leads the Northeast Conference and is 13th in the nation with a .407 average this season. Clow is hitting .442 (23-for-52) over the past 15 games. For the season, Clow leads the Mount with a .522 slugging percentage and a .450 on-base percentage, while he is tied with Kory Britton for the team lead with 22 RBI.

SCOTT ON HIT STREAK: Brandon Scott has an eight-game hit streak for the Mountaineers. The senior is 12-for-34 (.353) over the past eight games, and he is now hitting .250 on the season. Scott is second on the team with 22 runs scored while adding 17 RBI.
BRITTON ON FIRE: Third baseman Kory Britton is hitting .407 (22-for-54) at the plate over the past 15 games, raising his season average to .331. Britton, who is tied with Andrew Clow for the team lead with 22 RBI, is hitting a team-best .441 over the past 10 games.
MOLESKY ON THE HILL: Vincent Molesky has been the Mount's most consistent starter of late, posting a 2-2 record with a 3.29 ERA over his past five starts. Molesky is 3-4 on the year with a 4.22 ERA, leading the team with 35 strikeouts in 42.2 innings of work.
CLOSING TIME: Senior right-hander Nick Riley has appeared in 20 of the Mount's 33 games this season, tallying a 2-0 record with six saves and a 4.71 ERA. Riley has struck out 17 batters while allowing seven walks in 28.2 innings of work. He has moved into third place on the Mount's all-time saves list with 11, while his six saves this season are tied for the third-best single-season mark in school history. Mike Matta (2007-10) holds the Mount's career record with 24 saves, while Bucky Kosyk had a single-season record 10 saves in 2006.
