Winter Haven, Fla. (March 1, 2012)--Mount St. Mary's lost to St. Bonaventure, 20-4, on Thursday in a non-conference matchup at the RussMatt Invitational.

The Mount (1-6) took the early lead, posting four runs on five hits in the top of the first inning.  Mark Quaranta, Josh Winter, Sam Nott, Mo Moriarty, Tyler Skidmore and Jay Knight provided the hits in the early outburst.  Winter, Nott, Moriarty and Knight all had RBI singles in the frame.

Starting pitcher Karl Lamont dodged a couple of early jams and took a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the fourth, but the Bonnies (4-2) offense caught fire to earn the win.  Lamont allowed six hits and walked four in three-plus innings, allowing four runs (two earned).

The teams complete the four-game series today at noon.
