Cal State Bakersfield scored twice in the final 19 minutes and three seconds of regulation and then registered the decisive score six minutes and 21 seconds into overtime to earn the victory in the first-ever meeting against Mount St. Mary's.

The Roadrunners comeback started when Robbie Gouk tapped in a rebound from a Ghanzanfarpour shot off the crossbar at 70:57 to trim the margin to 2-1. Ghanzanfarpour helped Cal State Bakersfield even the match when he found Sanchez with two minutes and 29 seconds left in regulation.

Sanchez then gave the Roadrunners the win when he found the twine on the far post off a corner kick serve from Ernesto Hinojosa at the 96:21 mark.

Mount St. Mary's scored a goal in the first half and then increased the advantage early in the second stanza to grab a 2-0 lead. Thomas gave the Mount the edge when he knocked in his shot from 15-yards out on a loose ball after a corner kick at 36:06. Wheeler then converted a penalty kick at 57:05 to increase the margin to 2-0, but Cal State Bakersfield scored the final three markers to come away with the victory.
