Baseball Loses to New York Tech, 11-3

Mount St. Mary's lost to New York Tech, 11-3, in a non-conference matchup in the Palm Beach Challenge on Tuesday afternoon. The Mount drops to 0-4 on the season with the loss.

Starting pitcher Kent Worthington struck out seven and allowed one earned run in 5.2 innings of work for the Mountaineers. Leading 3-1 heading into the sixth inning, the Mount saw New York Tech score seven unearned runs to talke control of the game.

At the plate, Buddy Fields went 3-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases while Jake Darr belted his first career home run for the Mount. Joe Kavanagh was 1-for-3 while Josh Winter went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
