Dustin Pease pitched six scoreless innings to lead the Mount
baseball team past St. Bonaventure, 7-1, on Thursday in West Palm
Beach, Fla. With the win, the Mount improves to 4-9 on the
season.
Pease, the Mount's all-time leader in wins, struck out four and
allowed six hits in six innings to earn his first win of the
season. Senior Bucky Kosyk allowed one run in three innings of
work to earn the save.
The Mount scored three times in the sixth to break open a
scoreless game. Mount St. Mary's added a pair of runs in the
eighth and ninth innings to seal the win. Eric Smith had three RBI
while Matt Eiden had a pair of bases loaded walks to plate two runs
to pace the offense.
The Mount completes its seven-game Florida swing today against
Penn.
