Mount St. Mary’s alumnus ChrisStack begins his eighth season as an assistantwomen’s soccer coach at the Mount in 2014.
Stack has extensive experience coaching at the collegelevel in the state of Maryland. Prior to returning to the Mountbefore the start of the 2007 season, Stack served as an assistanton the women’s soccer staff at nearby McDaniel College undercurrent Mount coach Tom Gosselin in 2005 and 2006.
After playing for the men’s soccer team at theMount, he got his start in the coaching industry as an assistant onthe men’s soccer staff at Mount St. Mary’s for threeseasons from 2002-04.
On the field, Stack works primarily with the defenderswhile he assists with overall team management includingrecruiting and fundraising activities off the field. TheMount's first two recruiting classes since Tom Gosselin took overin 2007 ranked in the top five in the Northeast Conferenceaccording to Soccer Buzz.
Stack has been highly involved with youth soccer programsin Maryland. He spent four seasons as an MSYSA DDP Staffcoach in the West and Central West Regions. He has workedwith and trained a number of clubs in Maryland including FCFrederick, Soccer Association of Columbia, Westminster Wolves, andthe Westminster Soccer Association
Stack is Co-Founder and Director of Marketing of GFSManagement, LLC. GFS is a sports marketing and businessdevelopment company that is dedicated to helping its clientsachieve success through soccer.
In addition to his coaching duties, Stack has also workedas the Mount’s Coordinator of Support Services for StudentAthletes and the Coordinator of Intramurals.
A native, of Blue Bell Pa., Stack graduated with aBachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a SportsManagement Concentration from the Mount in 2002 and received aMasters of Business Administration from the Mount in2009.
