Brittany Pinkney completed her fourth season as an assistant coach for the Mount St. Mary's women's basketball program in 2016-17. The Mountaineers have reached the Northeast Conference playoffs in each of Pinkney's four seasons with the program.

Pinkney has been instrumental in recruiting during her time with the Mountaineers, helping bring in two of the top recruiting classes in program history over the past two seasons. Both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 Mount recruiting classes were ranked No. 1 in the Northeast Conference by The Collegiate Girls Basketball Report, and the 2017-18 class was ranked among the top-67 in the nation by BlueStar Report.

During the 2016-17 campaign, Pinkney helped guide Mount St. Mary's to seven conference wins and a fifth-place finish in the league as they narrowly missed out on home-court advantage in the playoffs.

In her first season with the Mount in 2013-14, Pinkney was part of the coaching staff that led the Mountaineers to their first winning season since 2000-01 with a 19-14 record. The season culminated with the Mount’s first-ever trip to the WNIT, marking the third postseason appearance in program history at the Division I level.

Pinkney arrived in Emmitsburg from Bucknell, where she worked as the Director of Basketball Operations during the 2012-13 campaign helping the Bison to a 15-16 record and a spot in the Patriot League Semifinals.

Prior to Bucknell, Pinkney spent two seasons at Salisbury where she assisted with recruiting, scouting and film exchange for the Sea Gulls. She was in charge of monitoring academic progress of the student-athletes as well as organizing the team's community outreach projects.

Pinkney has also coached at the Chase Your Dreams Basketball Camp and Sonia Chase Summer Sports Camp in Maryland.

Pinkney played her collegiate ball at VCU, where she served as team captain during her senior campaign and was named to the VCU Athletic Honor Roll. After graduation, she played in the Extraliga League Women's Basketball in Roznava, Slovakia from 2008-10.

Pinkney earned a degree in Recreational Parks and Sport Management from VCU in 2008. After returning to the States following a two-year stint in the Extraliga Leafgue in Slovakia, Pinkney completed her Master's in Education at Salisbury in 2012.
