Mount St. Mary's University

2022-23 SEASON:  Made Mount debut against McDaniel, scoring two points in two minutes of action...Had three rebounds in 12 minutes of action at Navy....Had six points and two rebounds in 16 minutes at Howard...Finished the season with 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists in 91 minutes of action.

PRIOR TO THE MOUNT:  Gielen comes to the Mount after a four-year soccer career at the University of Maryland...Started 27 of 66 career games at Maryland in men's soccer, tallying nine goals, five assists and 23 points...He scored the winning goal in Maryland's NCAA First Round win over Iona in 2019...Played in 18 games with two starts in Maryland's NCAA Championship season in 2018...Was a two-sport standout at DeMatha, excelling in soccer and basketball..Was included in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd in November of 2014.
