Made a pair of starts for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1902, and is the first Mount St. Mary’s baseball player to appear in the major leagues.
According to the local papers, McKenna had “a short but immense game against the Pastimes of Williamsport in the first game of the season at home. During this game he threw with his usual ease and accuracy as he took every chance.”
