EMMITSBURG, MD (September 4, 2026) – Kicking off the 2026 15's season, Mount St. Mary's men's rugby battles Davenport in a neutral site contest outside Cleveland, Ohio.  
 
While the A-side travels to Cleveland, the B and C squads make a journey to Kutztown University for a match there.
 
2025-26 SEASON RECAP
 
Mount enjoyed another successful campaign last year, winning seven matches. During 15's season, they competed in two postseason contests, defeating St. Thomas 46-19 in the Rugby Playoff Qualifier on November 15 in Florida. Two weeks later, in a close fought match, the team fell 33-27 to Arkansas State in the Spartan Regiment Bowl. In the spring, the team qualified for the D1A Rugby Playoffs, facing off against Life.
 
LAST TIME OUT AGAINST DAVENPORT
 
Saturday's showdown is a rematch of a 2025 matchup between the Mountaineers and Panthers, which also took place in Lakewood. Mount St. Mary's emerged triumphant 29-14, first all 29 points before Davenport cracked the scoreboard. Evan Corbett, Hayden McKay, Xavier Lock, and Fintan Hughes all registered points for the Mount in the match.
 
2026 15's SEASON OUTLOOK
 
Mount Rugby announced their 15's schedule on July 20.  Home matches begin September 26 with a contest against Mary Washington.
 
UP NEXT
 
On September 18, the Mount heads to Buena Vista, VA for a match against Southern Virginia.
