EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 9, 2026) – Freshman lock
Augie Anderson scored his first collegiate try in Friday's rugby match between Mount St. Mary's and Army. It was the highlight of the Mount's day in a match that went to Army, 66-8.
Anderson – a first year player from Houston, Texas – scored in the 49
th minute, capitalizing on an Army penalty for five of the eight Mountaineers points. The remaining three came on a penalty kick in the first half by
Benjamin Quiroga.
Army made a near split of points between halves, leading 38-3 and the break, setting up a 28-point second half.
Mount St. Mary's now stands at 1-3 for the season.
