HOW THE MATCH UNFOLDED
- Canisius struck first after catching wind of the early momentum. Leading Golden Griffins scorer Romero Nicolazzo struck his fifth of the year, assisted by Noah Baumslag and Brayden Zavala-Lopez.
- Outshot 6-3 in the opening half, Mount St. Mary's flipped the script with 12 shots to Canisius' five in the second half.
- Bauer scored in the 65th minute, using his left foot to meet a high bounce and bury the shot with a powerful kick.
- The Mountaineers earned several more opportunities to hit a potential game winner. Abou Cherif's chance in the closing minutes was the best one but was denied by the bar.
