EMMITSBURG, MD (September 28, 2026) – Sophomores Christian Kyriacou and Ryan Collins were named Metro Conference Players of the Week on Monday. Kyriacou earned Offensive Player of the Week honors and Collins was named Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Kyriacou recorded his first collegiate brace, scoring the first goal and the fourth goal in the Mount's 4-0 victory over Iona. With three goals, he is tied for the team lead with Daniel Morales Silva, and at seven points, he shares the team leaderboard with Lincoln Bauer.
 
Collins delivered a clean sheet in the victory, leading a masterful defensive performance by the Mountaineers. The opposing Gaels had two shots on goal for the contest, both of which were denied by Collins. The Midland, Georgia native has 21 saves for the season.
 
Mount St. Mary's is in first place in the Metro Conference thanks to their 2-0 start. The program registered its first back-to-back effort of four goals in a game since 1994.
 
The team is traveling to Canisius this Wednesday (Sept. 30), with a 3 PM kickoff from Buffalo.
