EMMITSBURG, MD (August 26, 2026) – Taking to the road for the first time, Mount St. Mary's men's soccer faces Duquesne in Pittsburgh.  
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
Opening at home last Thursday, the Mount battled Binghamton to a scoreless draw. The contest was a grudge match where neither defense would budge, limiting the offenses to seven shots on goal. Mountaineers' goalie Ryan Collins finished the game with three saves, including back-to-back stops within seconds of each other. Forward Daniel Morales Silva had the most Mount shot attempts with three, including one on goal.
 
SCOUTING THE DUKES
 
Duquesne has already competed on the Rooney Field twice, earning a scoreless draw with Lafayette and a 3-0 win over Bowling Green. Against the Falcons, Marko Rasmussen posted a brace for the Dukes and Jameson Michel scored the third goal. Goalie Sam Coss has seven saves to garner his two clean sheets.
 
SERIES HISTORY
 
The two teams are meeting for the third consecutive year. In the inaugural showdown in Pittsburgh, the Dukes won 2-1 on a late score. Last year in Emmitsburg, the teams battled to a scoreless draw.

This Monday (Aug. 31), Mount St. Mary's returns home to face Saint Joseph's. Kickoff is at 7 PM from Waldron Family Stadium at the PNC Sports Complex.
