EMMITSBURG, Md. (May 2, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's baseball fell to Merrimack in game two of their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference series by a score of 12-4. With the loss, the Mountaineers fall to an overall record of 19-24 with an 11-15 record in the MAAC.
The Warriors tossed on a five spot early in the top of the second to take a 5-0 followed by a three run top of the third and a one run top of the fourth. Mount St. Mary's got on board in their half of the fourth inning after
David Stokely took a 1-1 count deep to left field to get rid of the shutout. After
Carson Clark reached base on a single through the infield,
Cameron Biller hit a towering shot out to right field for a two-run home run. And
Phoenix Williams hit out a solo shot later in the bottom of the fourth for the Mount's fourth and final run of the afternoon.
Both
Alex Mendes and
Phoenix Williams went 2-4 on the day, with the senior infielder out of Wilmette, Illinois recording two stolen bases on the day against Merrimack. Stokely, Clark, and Biller all recorded solo hits on the day during game two.
Accredited with his fourth loss of the season,
Eli DeRossi recorded two strikeouts on the day while
Josh Halcisak struck out one during his two and two-thirds out of the bullpen. Kaeden Kimble struck out one through his two-thirds on the mound while
Brandon Rice struck out two in his two and two-thirds relief appearance.
Jackson Snyder also featured out of the bullpen on senior day, pitching a scoreless top of the ninth.
