HAMDEN, Conn. (April 26, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's baseball fell in game three of their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference series against Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon by a score of 3-2. With the loss, the Mountaineers fell to an overall record of 18-22 with an 11-13 record in the MAAC.
Quinnipiac claimed an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning before the Mount responded in the top half of the second as a
Cameron Biller double down the right field line scored
Ty Fredo to ty the game. Scoring twice in the bottom half of the sixth inning, Quinnipiac took a narrow 3-1 lead. But Biller once again proved pivotal at the plate, walking with the bases loaded to drive in
Parker Hildebrand. The Mountaineers were unable to capitalize on the bases loaded after that, rounding out the loss on Sunday.
Alex Mendes and
Carson Clark both recorded two hits against the Bobcats on Sunday while Fredo, Biller,
Evan Meier,
David Stokely,
Joey Agar, and
Mike Toth recorded solo knocks against Quinnipiac. Biller recorded the only two Mount RBIs on Sunday against the Bobcats.
Starting on the mound for the Mount on Sunday,
Jakob Foster went four innings one run baseball while limiting the Bobcats to three hits. Accredited with his third loss on the year,
Maximus McCrary featured in a two-inning relief outing while striking out one batter. Also notching one strikeout on the day,
Josh Halcisak recorded two innings on the mound in relief.
