EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 25, 2026) - Rallying from 3-0 down, Mount St. Mary's baseball tied the game and forced extra innings against Quinnipiac. The Bobcats were able to answer in the bottom of the 10
th, defeating the Mountaineers 4-3 to force a rubber game in the series finale Sunday.
After Quinnipiac opened the game up with a 3-0 lead, scoring a single run in the bottom half of the second and a two-spot in the bottom half of the fourth, the Mountaineers began their rally. The Mount St. Mary's began in the top of the seventh, as a single scored
Phoenix Williams, with Ryan Mckay taking home plate after a throwing error from the third baseman to cut the deficit to one. The Mount tied the game later in the top of the eighth
Sam Meyer hit out a ball to left center for a solo home run, tying the ball game. With the game tied at the end of the ninth inning, the Mountaineers eventually fell to Quinnipiac in the bottom of the tenth as the Bobcats walked to game off to tie the series at a game a piece.

Sam Meyer's pinch hit eighth inning home run tied the score.
Eli DeRossi provided five innings on the bump as the starter, striking out three Quinnipiac batters.
