MOUNT UPDATE
At the St. Johns Invitational, the women's golf team finished in seventh place with a gross score of 665 (+97).
Jennifer Sorkin led the Mountaineers with a gross score of 160 (+18) to finish tied for 14
th. To finish off the scorecard,
Naomi Yacyshen finished tied for 23
rd with a gross score of 163 (+21), while
Camryn Hoff finished tied for 42
nd with a score of 172 (+30).
Summer Stroop finished in 57
th with a score of 177 (+35) and
Makensy Knaub had withdrawn on the second day of play.
Allie Sexton played independently from the Mount finishing in 65
th with a score of 196 (+54).
HISTORY AT THE MAAC CHAMPIONSHIP
In their third season in the MAAC, the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team took 7
th place in the championship. They also broke school records in the two years prior both earning 6
th place finishes. Last year, the Mount finished the championship with 143 pars and 18 birdies as team.
MOUNT ST. MARY'S WOMEN'S GOLF MAAC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
Four of the members of the women's golf team also made the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
