Women’s Golf Battle Windy Conditions on Day One of St. John’s Invitational to Stand in 9th Place

HUDSON, N.Y. (April 6th, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's golf stand in ninth place with a score of 345 (+61) after battling another windy day to start play at the St. John's Invitational. Jennifer Sorkin led the Mount on day one standing tied for 27th with a score of 83 (+12).
 
On the team leaderboard, Fairfield stands in first place with a score of 317 (+33), one stroke ahead of St. John's in second. St. John's stands in second with a five-stroke lead over Quinnipiac in third. On the individual leaderboard, Chulathida Seema of Fairfield stands in first with a score of 74(+3).
 
Rounding out the scorecard, Naomi Yacyshen stands tied for 35th with a score of 85 (+14), while Makensy Knaub stands tied for 39th with a score of 86 (+15). Summer Stroop stands tied for 60th with a score of 91 (+20), while Camryn Hoff stands tied for 62nd with a score of 93 (+22).
