EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 14, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's baseball fell to George Mason at E.T. Straw Family Stadium on Tuesday afternoon, falling to the Patriots 13-3 in the six innings as the game was called by the umpires due to lightning. With the loss, the Mountaineers fall to an overall record of 17-16 with Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play resuming on Friday, April 17 away at Fairfield.
George Mason topped nine runs in the top of the first inning while scoring two runs in the second and one in the third. The Mountaineers got on the board in the bottom half of the third inning after
Ty Fredo hit out a solo home run to left field for the Mount's first run of the day.
The Patriots scored one more run in the top of the fifth inning before
David Stokely doubled to center field, scoring
Alex Mendes in the bottom half of the fifth inning.
Carson Clark hit out a solo shot to right center in the bottom of the sixth, rounding out the Mount's scoring efforts as the game was calling in the seventh inning due to lightning.
