EMMITSBURG, Md. — Mount St. Mary's women's tennis saw its eight-match winning streak come to an end with a 5–2 loss to Quinnipiac. The Mount falls to 10–8 overall and 3–2 in MAAC play, while Quinnipiac improves to 13–6 (5–0 MAAC).
Quinnipiac earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Caitlin Flower and Willow Renton posted a 6–2 win at the top spot, while Vera Sekerina and Isabella Sicignano added a 6–4 victory at No. 3. Emma Perkins and Anna Barlini secured a 6–1 win at No. 2 for the Mount.
In singles play, Mount picked up two points. Margherita Trolese rallied for a 2–6, 6–4, 1–0 (10–7) win at No. 4, and Bella Pescatore followed with a 6–3, 4–6, 1–0 (10–4) victory at No. 5. Quinnipiac claimed the remaining four matches to secure the win.
