Emmitsburg, Md. (March 15, 2026)--Mount St. Mary's dropped both ends of a Sunday afternoon doubleheader to visiting UAlbany at Our Lady of the Meadows Field.  The Great Danes held off a Mount rally for a 12-8 win in the opening game before posting a 13-1 victory in game two.  The Mount lost all four games in the four-game set with UAlbany to fall to 5-16 on the year.

GAME 1: UAlbany 12, Mount St. Mary's 8

The Great Danes raced to an 11-0 lead after the top of the third inning, and held off a Mount rally for the four-run victory. Emma Tawney went 3-for-3 for the Mountaineers in the game.

UAlbany scored six times in the second inning to follow a three-run first to jump out to a 9-0 lead.  Sierra Roy's two-run double in the third pushed the advantage to 11-0, but the Mount countered with a five-run bottom of the third to get back into the game.  Lia Festa had the big hit in the inning, a bases-clearing double to cut the deficit to 11-5.  Each team scored in the fourth to make it 12-6, and the Mount scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to make the final score 12-8.
