ANNAPOLIS, Md. / UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Mount St. Mary's women's tennis completed a two-match road weekend with contests at Navy on Saturday and Penn State on Sunday.

On Saturday, the Mount dropped a 6-1 decision at Navy. The Midshipmen secured the doubles point by winning two of the three doubles matches. Navy earned victories at No. 3 and No. 1 doubles, while Emma Perkins and Anna Barlini picked up the Mount's lone doubles win with a 6-3 decision at No. 2. The match at No. 1 doubles was left unfinished and did not factor into the scoring.

In singles play, Navy won five matches to clinch the overall result. The Mount's point came at No. 3 singles, where Eirini Tsakiri battled through three sets to defeat Anna Jordaan, 6-3, 2-6, 12-10.

The Mount returned to action Sunday afternoon at Penn State, falling 4-0 at the Indoor Tennis Center in University Park. Penn State claimed the doubles point with wins on all three courts before closing out three singles matches to secure the victory. Several singles contests were left unfinished once the match was decided.

Mount St. Mary's will continue its spring schedule with the opening of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at Sacred Heart on February 21.
