William & Mary Tops Mount St. Mary’s in Nonconference Women’s Tennis Match

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Mount St. Mary's women's tennis dropped a non-conference decision on Thursday afternoon at William & Mary as the Mount fell to 0-3 on the spring season.

The Tribe secured the opening doubles point by winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The match at No. 2 was left unfinished and did not factor into the scoring heading into singles play.

In singles action, the Mount battled throughout the lineup, with several matches featuring competitive first sets and extended rallies. The Tribe was able to string together singles victories in the middle of the order, and William & Mary (2-0) was able to close out points and prevent a Mount comeback.

The Mount returns to action on Saturday, February 7, when it travels to Navy.
