MOUNT STORY LINES
- Mount St. Mary's made it four wins in a row with a 68-47 win over Canisius at Knott Arena on Sunday. The Mount blitzed the Golden Griffins with a 32-to-6 run to open the second half, quickly erasing a 24-20 halftime deficit. Arlandus Keyes had 14 points, seven assists and six steals to lead the Mountaineers while Xavier Lipscomb added 13 points on 4-of-5 shooting. The Mount held Canisius to 35.6 percent shooting in the game.
- Sacred Heart defeated the Mount, 87-80, at Knott Arena on December 3. The Mount holds a 31-16 lead in the all-time series, including a 1-1 mark in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season matchups. This will be the Mount's first game at Sacred Heart since a 77-65 Sacred Heart win on Feb. 24, 2022.
- Mount St. Mary's is currently tied for sixth place in the MAAC standings with Fairfield at 10-8, two games clear of Iona and Manhattan, who are tied for eighth place. The Mount plays at Fairfield on Sunday on the final day of the regular season. The top six teams in the MAAC standings earn a First Round bye in the MAAC Tournament which will be held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., on March 5-10. Â
-  Mount St. Mary's is 9-4 since January 9 in MAAC play, tied for the second-best mark in the league over that span. Merrimack leads the list with an 11-2 mark, with the Mount and Fairfield right behind at 9-4.
- Mount St. Mary's has won four of its past five road games, including its last two with wins at Iona (83-76) and Rider (65-55). The Mount is now 6-10 on the road for the year.
- Arlandus Keyes is averaging 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 6.0 steals over the past two games. He has recorded a career-high six steals in each of the past two games, becoming the first Mountaineer to achieve that feat since the school moved to NCAA Division I in 1988-89. Keyes leads the Mount with 42 steals on the season.
- Luke McEldon leads the MAAC and is 12th in the nation in field goal percentage this season, shooting 64.4 percent. McEldon is averaging 13.7 points while shooting 76.0 percent (38-for-50) from the field over the past six games.
