EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 21, 2026) – By a score of 17-12, Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse fell to the Lafayette Leopards Saturday. With the defeat, the Mountaineers stand 1-2 on the season.
Brooke Molchanoff led the scoring for the Mount with four goals.
Haylee Bittinger earned her first collegiate multi-goal game, and
MK Allingham added two goals of her own.
Lafayette saw a pair of four-goal efforts from Sadie Martiesian and Olivia Kelley.
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
- Mount opened the game with a 4-0 run. Four different scorers – Molchanoff, Shannon McTavish, Allingham, and Bittinger all contributed.
- Lafayette answered the call with a 7-1 run for the remainder of the first quarter.
- The Leopards extended their advantage to 12-7 by halftime. Logan Cook and Molchanoff posted Mount's second quarter goals.
- Morgan Ortega scored the lone tally for the Mountaineers in the third as the team trailed 15-8 entering the fourth.
- Mount won the fourth quarter 4-2, but the deficit proved too much to overcome.
