EMMITSBURG, Md. (January 9, 2026) – Seeking to upend a three-game losing streak, Mount St. Mary's women's basketball travels to Jersey City, facing the Saint Peter's Peacocks.
MOUNT UPDATE
- Battling Quinnipiac in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) showdown, the Mount fell to the Bobcats 70-44. Alana Powell led with 10 points, and Kayla Lindsey had a season high with four steals.
- Mount St. Mary's did not record a three-pointer in the game, marking the first occurrence since January 2016 against LIU Brooklyn. The Mount went 0-for-8 in the game.
- Zaria Harleaux scored her first points in a Mount St. Mary's uniform during the game.
SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
- Saint Peter's is also looking to overcome a losing streak, falling in the previous four contests.
- De'Naya Rippey is the points and rebounds leader with a respective of 12.9 and 9.3
- Nikola Zdenkova stands second behind Rippey in the points column and is the team's leading three-point threat with 28 triples made.

ALL-TIME SERIES
- One of the longest rivalries between MAAC teams, the Mountaineers and Peacocks have been playing each other since 1975. Saturday's contest is the 16th meeting.
- Mount holds an 8-7 lead over Saint Peter's, including a 5-1 mark as MAAC opponents.
- The Peacocks got their first win over the Mountaineers since 1992 last February, winning the game 70-54.
