Hamden, Conn. (January 4, 2026)—Mount St. Mary's lost at Quinnipiac, 80-69, on Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena.
Arlandus Keyes paced the Mount with 17 points in the game. Mount St. Mary's falls to 5-11 overall and 1-4 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with the loss.
The Mount held a 35-32 halftime advantage, but the Bobcats used a 12-to-3 run early in the second half to build a 52-43 lead. Trailing 60-50, the Mount got back into the game with a 7-0 run. Keyes hit a three-pointer to start the run, followed by a
Justin Amadi basket in the paint, and a
Luke McEldon hook shot. The Bobcats (11-5, 4-1 MAAC) answered with a 10-2 run to build a 13-point lead en route to the win.
Keyes finished with 17 points and four rebounds while going 5-for-15 from three-point rang in the game. McEldon chipped in 14 points (7-of-10 FG's) while
Xavier Lipscomb added 11 points, five assists and five rebounds in the game. Grant Randall led the Bobcats with 25 points, Asim Jones added 17 and Amarri Monroe 16 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.
The Bobcats used a 13-0 run to race out to a 19-to-5 advantage seven minutes into the game. Khadre Kebe halted the rally with five consecutive points. Trailing 28-21, the Mount closed the half on a 14-to-4 run to take the lead at the break. McEldon capped a 7-0 run with a hook shot to tie the score at 28-28, and after a Quinnipiac basket, Keyes drained a three-pointer to put the Mount ahead, 31-30. Keyes ended the half with a fast-break lay-up after a Quinnipiac miss for a 35-32 advantage at the break.
Keyes led the Mount with 11 points in the first half while McEldon added eight. The Mount shot 39.4 percent (13-of-33) in the half, including 7-of-20 (.350) from beyond the arc. Quinnipiac shot 37.1 percent (13-of-35) in the half while going 2-for-10 (.200) from three-point range.
