EMMITSBURG, Md. (August 27, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's swimming and diving head coach,
Neil Yost, announced the hiring of three new assistant coaches for the upcoming 2025-26 season on Wednesday. Among the hires are
John Nunnelley,
Cassidy Preste, and
Abby Leskovansky. All three new coaches bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team in the lead up to the team's first meet at the Patriot Relays on September 26.
Nunnelley arrives in Emmitsburg from the University of Indianapolis, serving as the swim team's graduate assistant from 2023-2025. While on staff with the Greyhounds, Nunnelley aided in a Great Lakes Valley Conference title for the men's team in 2024 while the women's team finished runner up at the conference championships. After the 2024 title, Indianapolis finished third at the NCAA Division Two national championships while the women placed fourth. In 2025, both the men's and women's teams finished runners up at GLVC's, while 17 Greyhounds finished in the top three at NCAA's. Prior to Indianapolis, Nunnelley served as interim head coach at Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, where three swimmers achieved NCAA Men's B cuts in 2023. Nunnelley graduated with a master's degree in Sport Management from Indianapolis in 2025 and with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, Crime, and Deviance from Auburn University in 2016.
Preste comes to the Mount after a year at Penn State Behrend where she served as assistant coach for the Men's and women's swimming and diving team. Prior to Behrend, Preste served as a graduate assistant coach for the men's and women's swim team at Westminster College from 2022-2024. She served as swim lesson coordinator for her alma mater, Misericordia University from 2018 to 2022. While on the team at Misericordia, Preste served as team captain for her final two years, graduating from the school in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She earned a master's degree in business administration from Westminster College in 2024.
Leskovansky arrives at the Mount with the most recent swimming experience, graduating from Saint Vincent College in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in computer science. While in Latrobe, Leskovansky was a standout on the Bearcats women's swim team, being named the Presidents Athletic Conference women's swimming MVP for the 2024-25 season, also being named to the All-PAC First Team. She also served as captain of the women's team at Saint Vincent from 2023-2025.
