John Nunnelley

Mount St. Mary's swimming and diving head coach Neil Yost announced the addition of John Nunnelley as assistant coach for both the men's and women's programs on August 27, 2025. 

Nunnelley arrives in Emmitsburg from the University of Indianapolis, serving as the swim team's graduate assistant from 2023-2025. While on staff with the Greyhounds, Nunnelley aided in a Great Lakes Valley Conference title for the men's team in 2024 while the women's team finished runner up at the conference championships. After the 2024 title, Indianapolis finished third at the NCAA Division Two national championships while the women placed fourth. In 2025, both the men's and women's teams finished runners up at GLVC's, while 17 Greyhounds finished in the top three at NCAA's.

Prior to Indianapolis, Nunnelley served as interim head coach at Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, where three swimmers achieved NCAA Men's B cuts in 2023. Nunnelley graduated with a master's degree in Sport Management from Indianapolis in 2025 and with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, Crime, and Deviance from Auburn University in 2016.
