Emmitsburg, Md. (April 9, 2025)--Mount St. Mary's dropped both ends of a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) doubleheader to visiting Rider at Our Lady of the Meadows Field today.  The Broncs took the opener, 5-0, before capturing game two, 18-4.  
Tristin Koerner was a bright spot for the Mountaineers, tallying four hits, including a pair of doubles, on the day.
In the opening game, Rider pitcher Anna-Marie Groskritz scattered five hits while striking out 10 to lead Rider to the 5-0 victory.

Tyra Christian each had a double for the Mount in the game while freshman pitcher 
Ellie Meier tossed a complete game, allowing five runs and eight hits while striking out four.  
Emma Tawney, 
Gina Del Giorno and Koerner each added hits for the Mount (8-28, 3-12 MAAC) in the contest.
The Broncs (11-26, 5-7 MAAC) scored 13 times in the top of the first inning to cruise to the win in game two.  Three Mountaineers recorded multiple-hit games as the Mount tallied 10 hits in the game.  Koerner went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, Del Giorno was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored, and Manni went 2-for-3 as well.  Koerner's two doubles give her a team-leading nine on the season.  Christian went 1-for-2 at the plate with three RBI for the Mount as well.  
Olivia Murphy pitched the final three innings, allowing two runs.
Up next, the Mount visits Quinnipiac for a three-game MAAC series this weekend.
