Emmitsburg, Md. (March 30, 2025)--The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team put up a spirited fight against Seton Hall but came up just short in a competitive match. The Mountaineers showed strong doubles play, securing the opening point, but ultimately fell in singles, resulting in a narrow loss.
The Mount set the tone early in doubles, winning two of the three matches to claim the doubles point. The No. 1 duo of Venus Tang and Bella Pescatore delivered an impressive 6-3 victory, while Kaajal Ramisetty and Valentine Mudry dominated at No. 3 with a 6-2 win to secure the advantage heading into singles play.
In singles, Bella Pescatore was the standout performer for The Mount, claiming a well-earned 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 5. Margherita Trolese was locked in a battle at No. 2, leading in the third set before the match was left unfinished. Despite some hard-fought sets, Seton Hall was able to turn the tide, claiming victories in four singles matches.
