NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (March 16, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's baseball lost game three of their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference series to Iona by a scoreline of 6-3 on Sunday. With the loss to the Gaels, the Mountaineers fall to 8-10 on the season with a MAAC record of 2-3.
The Mount got on the board first, when Nolan book scored after
Ty Fredo ground into a double play. Nick Flemming went onto score in the top of the fourth followed by a
Ethan Flaugher single that scored Fredo in the top of the sixth, rounding out the Mountaineer scoring chances against Iona.
Six Mountaineers tallied two hits against the Gaels, with Flaugher, Book, Fleming, Fredo,
Alex Mendes, and
Sam Grube all gathering hits on Sunday along wit
Bryce Rudisill going 1-4 with a walk.
Eli DeRossi was accredited with the loss while tallying seven strikeouts and allowing five earned runs.
