Washington, D.C. (February 2, 2025)--Mount St. Mary's women's tennis fell at Georgetown, 6-1, on Sunday, to fall to 1-2 on the season.  Venus Tang provided the Mount's point with a solid win at No. 2 singles.

Tang earned a come-from-behind1-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-8) win over Ashley Kennedy at the No. 2 singles spot for the Mountaineers.  The Hoyas prevailed in straight sets in the remainder of the singles matches to secure the win.  In doubles play, Tang teamed with Bella Pescatore for a 6-2 win over Kennedy and Natasha Kavarana at No. 1 doubles, but the Hoyas posted wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to earn the point for an early 1-0 lead in the match.

The Mountaineers have a pair of matches on Saturday, February 8, at West Virginia.  The Mount will face the host Mountaineers while also playing a match with Cleveland State.
