  • This will be the 10th all-time meeting between the Mount and Howard with Mount St. Mary's holding a 6-3 lead in the series.  This is the fifth consecutive season the two teams will play.  Last year's win over Howard snapped the Mount's two-game losing streak to the Bison.
  • The last two times the teams played at Knott Arena have been barn burners.  The Mount's Deandre Thomas hit a three-pointer at the buzzer for a 72-70 win on Nov. 30, 2021.  On Nov. 30, 2023, Howard outlasted the Mountaineers, 87-83, in double overtime.
  • Mount St. Mary's holds a 17-11 record against teams in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), including a 2-0 mark last year. The Mount has played the following MEAC opponents:  Coppin State (6-1), Howard (5-2), Norfolk State (2-0), Morgan State (2-2), Delaware State (2-2), Florida A&M (1-0), Maryland Eastern Shore (1-2), North Carolina A&T (0-1) and Savannah State (0-1).
  • Injuries have been a factor early this season for the Mountaineers with 33 man games lost so far.  Anthony Arrington, Jaxon Hartman, Abdou Khadre Kebe and Justin May have all missed the first seven games.  Arlandus Keyes has missed two while Justin Amadi, Trey Deveaux and Anastasios Rozakeas have each missed one.
  • Arlandus Keyes leads the Mount in scoring at 13.4 points per game this year.  The senior is shooting 42.2 percent (19-of-45) from three-point range.  Keyes has scored in double figures in four of his five games played this year, topped by a career-best 22 points in the Mount's overtime loss at Maryland.
  • Luke McEldon paced the Mount with 19 points and eight rebounds in the loss at Ohio State.  McEldon is averaging 12.0 points and a team-high 6.1 rebounds while shooting 58.5 percent from the field this season.  He scored a career-high 21 points against Bucknell on November 7, and is averaging 16.0 points over the past two games.
