EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 23, 2025) – Finishing the fall semester on a high note, Mount St. Mary's bowling won its second tournament in a row, prevailing in Monmouth's Garden State Classic over the weekend in Howell, New Jersey. The Mount went 11-2 over their 13 matches during the tournament.
Making the championship game, the Mount defeated Bryant over six games. They rallied from 2-1 down to capture games four, five and six to take the title.
During qualifying, two Mountaineers earned a spot on the All-Tournament team.
Aliza Shirk finished with a 1,283 series that was punctuated with a 269 game.
Trishelle Leal Uribe placed sixth with a 1,231 series and a high game of 244. Right behind Leal Uribe and one spot off the All-Tournament Team was
Leah Varela, finishing seventh in the field with a 1,221 series.
Mount St. Mary's closes out the fall semester with a record of 42-17. The 2025-26 season resumes in January with the Northeast Classic, hosted by Sacred Heart.
