Box Score Kalamazoo, Mich. (November 23, 2025)—Mount St. Mary's saw Western Michigan pull away in the second half in an 83-60 loss on Sunday.
Arlandus Keyes led four Mountaineers in double figures in the game with 15 points.
The Broncos (3-4) came out strong, building a 23-12 advantage midway through the first half.
Patrick Haigh was able to get the Mount back into the game, scoring 11 points over a four-minutes stretch to help trim the deficit to 27-23.
Keyes kept the momentum going, hitting three triples in an 11-to-5 run that gave the Mount a 34-32 advantage with just over a minute left in the half. The Broncos halted the Mount's momentum with a Jalen Griffith three-pointer to regain the lead. Sharod Barnes then capped the half with a shot from beyond midcourt at the buzzer for a 38-34 Western Michigan advantage.
The Mount (1-5) was able to cut into the Bronco lead early in the second half, making it a one-point game at 46-45 after a
Trey Deveaux three-pointer. Western Michigan countered with the next seven points, built the advantage to 58-47, and never looked back to earn the win.
Keyes scored all 15 of his points in the opening half, finishing the game 5-for-10 from three-point range.
Luke McEldon added 13 points while Deveaux and Haigh added 11 points each off the bench.
Griffith led all scorers in the game with 30 points while Brady Schwarz chipped in 16 in the win for Western Michigan.
NOTES
- This was the second all-time meeting between the Mount and Western Michigan with the Broncos winning both.
- The Mountaineers are now 0-3 all-time against the Mid American Conference
- Keyes is shooting 50.0 percent (17-of-34) from three-point range this season.
