EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 18, 2025) – Although the Mount St. Mary's bowling team took two opponents to a seventh game, they took 10^th place at Youngstown State's Penguin Classic. They fell to #25 Niagara, #20 Wright State, and #12 Duquesne.
 
Beginning with the Purple Eagles, the Mount forced a winner-take-all showdown in the best-of-seven with a 235 game six. Niagara was able to advance with a 216. Following a 4-0 sweep to Wright State, the Mount faced Duquesne for ninth place. Wins in game three and four leveled a 2-0 deficit and the Mountaineers force a game seven by scoring 211 in game six. Duquesne was able to capture the ultimate game by 11 pins.
